March, despite lacking any serious holidays, has been a very busy and exciting time for me for the past few years. Here are a few things I had going on during March:
My birthday
End of Japanese school year (graduation)
Sillicon Valley Regional robotics competition
Asking girls out to prom
Now that I graduated Japanese school and no longer participate in FIRST robotics, I don't know what to expect from March 2013. Having spring break on the last quarter of March will be interesting and finals before that will undoubtedly make the last few weeks of March busy.
That said, having extravagant birthday parties does not seem to be a thing for guys in college (or guys in general, really) and I feel like I will be longing for the adrenaline rush of Silicon Valley Regional and the sensation of relief after the completion of a school year.
On the flip side, with the exception of junior year (college tours), spring break has generally been a cool down time where I stayed home and studied for the upcoming midterms. Since finals fall before spring break in the quarter system, spring break may be somewhat more exciting this year. Who knows.
